Oral Cancer Screening
Almost 13,000 people in the UK can be at risk of mouth cancer. Worldwide the incidence is around 410,000 new cases per year. The chances of surviving the disease is less than 50% if not detected in good time. With early detection, this rises to about 90%.
The key is to identify the disease at its earliest stage.
With the help of oral cancer screening methods, we are able to detect and identify precancerous oral lesions at their earliest stage.
The test is an easy to use, non-invasive chair side procedure that takes only a few minutes to do and the results will be ready right away. It is recommended every 12 mouths, adjunctive to the routine intra oral examination.
Any suspicious case will immediately be referred to specialist for further assessment or treatment.

Dental Diagnostic Salivary Tests
Oral health care and prevention of oral diseases are essential to health and well being.
Dental diagnostic salivary tests help your dentist to better diagnose your dental and oral health.
The salivary tests consist of five tests explained below:
- Salivary Flow Rate (To diagnose conditions like Dry Mouth)
- Buffering Capacity (To measure the protection against Acid Attack)
- SM Bacterial Diagnostic (To measure the risk of having Tooth Decay)
- LB Bacterial Diagnostic (To measure the rate of Sugar Intake)
- CA Yeast Count (To help finding any underlying Medical Problem)
It is an easy and non-invasive procedure.
It is an in-house procedure that takes no more than 15 minutes and the results will be ready after four days of incubation.

OPG (Panoramic X-ray)
OPG shows the entire mouth area on a single X-ray. This way, a full broad view of the jaws is captured on one film. The process is very safe and often uses less radiation than intraoral radiographs. It is a good screening tool for initial diagnosis, for example visualising impacted wisdom teeth and highlighting abnormal growths or cysts in the jaw bone etc. It can also be used for pre-orthodontic assessment, as well as in pre-implant surgery bone height evaluation.
Referral
If more advanced treatments are required, a referral will be sent on your behalf to one of the specialist clinics in the area, giving you a choice to speak to a specialist dentist with regards to your dental needs to obtain the best treatment possible.
