Biteguards & Sports Gumshields

These are small plastic appliances, tailor made for you to protect your teeth from impact or trauma.

A biteguard is a soft removable plastic appliance, designed for people who grind or clench their teeth together. They are normally transparent in colour.

Sport Gumshields are made from a harder plastic material in order to protect your mouth from traumatic impacts.  These can be made in all sorts of colours and patterns.

FAQ’s

I grind my teeth together and this causes a lot of headaches. Can a biteguard cure my problem?

Yes, if your headaches are the result of grinding and clenching your teeth, biteguards can help reducing the tension.

I play sports and I'm worried about my teeth. How do I get a sport gumshield?

As with biteguard, you will need to have one impression taken from your teeth and the gumshield will be made for you within a week.

How do I book an appointment?

Contact the practice on 01604 638822. An initial consultation which includes all necessary X-rays will be booked for you within days.

Are evening appointments available at your practice?

Yes, on request.

How do I pay for my consultation/treatments?

We accept cash, cheque and all major debit and credit cards with no extra charges for card payments.

Dental Emergencies
