This is one of the most common procedures in a dental practice.
Regular removal of hardened salivary sediments or scales will help to keep gums healthy.
My gums bleed every time I brush my teeth. What do I need to do?
You may have gingivitis, that is gum inflammation. Scaling and polishing together with oral hygiene information and instruction may reduce the bleeding and cure the gum problem. In some cases you may need to be referred to a hygienist or a specialist for further advice or treatment.
Do I have to be a registered with your practice to book for a scaling and polish?
No, however, members get more discount.
How do I book an appointment?
Contact the practice on 01604 638822. An initial consultation which includes all necessary X-rays will be booked for you within days.
Are evening appointments available at your practice?
Yes, on request.
How do I pay for my consultation/treatments?
We accept cash, cheque and all major debit and credit cards with no extra charges for card payments.
We will endeavour to see you as soon as possible most often on the same day to assess the problem. You may need to book an appointment for treatment afterwards. Please call 24 hours a day 7 days a week for advice.
